What about Him allowing these things? Are you saying that because these things happen that an omnipotent, omnipresent and all-powerful being must not exist? Do you not have free will to make your own decisions? All of these things you mention will come to an end. Will we live to see them end? I don't know, but simply because these things exist doesn't indicate a lack of God. Many people set out to fight crime, poverty, war, genocide and starvation. To me that indicates the good in people that cannot come from the same very people who commit those aforesaid atrocities.

Although God is something/someone different in many theologies the term god is fairly universal. Regardless of who you are talking to, if you reference god they will know what you mean. For the most part who you are talking about is a moot point when you use the term god because the individual receiving the message will associate the term god with whatever or whoever they believe god to be or not to be.

Based upon the scriptures there are no qualifications for being a Christian but rather a profession of faith. You must confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, confess and repent from your sins and live Christ-like the best you can. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved".

No one expects you to be perfect, if we were perfect we wouldn't need Christ.
